Of special note for this meeting is the acceptance of Dr. Vosler’s letter of resignation as Preble County Corner effective June 30, 2011.
There is also a discussion on missing the June 15, Preble County Farm Bureau meeting.
The water and sewer at Goose Creek also gets some discussion.
This is the second meeting in a row that ends with a recess but no move to adjourn. The Commissioners were not going to Kentucky for this one and there were two meetings scheduled for the afternoon and neither was on the audio cd that I received. I’ll check on this issue Monday as I did not discover the abrupt ending until after 5:00 p.m.

Connie – I did receive a letter on Friday from Dr. John Vosler. I have spent nearly 40 years with the Preble County Coroner's Office… the time is right for me to leave public service. Let this letter serve as my resignation as the elected Corner of Preble County. Effective June 30, 2011.
Commissioners wish him all the best.

Gas to Energy trip to Kentucky.
Connie – Ok.
Commissioner Wesler – It was very interesting ahh I guess there is more probably more questions and details that need to be asked or told to us so. But I thought it was a very interesting process.
Commissioner Day – It was a good trip I think their next step is to put a package together of the cost, how that would be taken care of. The benefits that would benefit Preble County…
17 Minute mark Commissioner Stonecash – We are extremely sorry we missed the Farm Bureau Policy meeting. It was a conflict in meetings and we thought this was extremely important to the future of Preble County. We couldn't be two places at once.
Commissioner Day – That's true but we also had this scheduled before we knew about the Farm Bureau meeting.
That is a non factual statement and this commission recently suspended a Maintenance Supervisor three days for making them in Executive Session. This one is on the record.
Commissioner Wesler – Ahh No not really, we, I ahh we said we were going to go to the policy development meeting until we found that was are one and only time
Commissioner Day – Well that is what I mean.
Commissioner Wesler – So I called Lane Oswald (President of Preble County Farm Bureau) and told him exactly because you had originally reserved for us.
Connie – That's right, correct, I had reserved three reservations for you there. Then we found out that the only time you could go down that met everybody's schedule was last Wednesday.
This trip had been put off for months.
Commissioner Wesler – That's right
Commissioner Day – Well I guess what I what I meant David was we have been trying to make this happen.
That is true
Connie – Oh yeah
Commissioner Day – Long before their meeting had come out.
Also true
18.25 Minute mark Commissioner Stonecash – It might have been proper for them to call us and see if were available before they scheduled the meeting.
Connie – Ok Friday morning Chris you had a meeting here with Frank and you went over several things that it looks like we need to have some action on.
Commissioner Day – Yes
Connie – Looks like we have a letter to the Ohio EPA regarding plans for the well field development as GOOSE CREEK CROSSING.
Commissioner Day – Yes, what that is ahhm the application to go for the development of the well field so that once that is approved the pumps and things could be set in place. And then when the time comes we can have water on site. So that is the application to actually put in the production equipment.
Letter to note receipt and discussion on issue. Listen for comprehensive understanding. This is just for the well not tower. Two more quotes needed for sewer borings.
21.5 Minute mark Commissioner Day – FYI once the soil borings are done then they can submit actually proceed further knowing that the ground is ok to dig and put in….

47 Minute mark Commissioner Wesler – The general government and operations committee that I set on, you know they take a stance on a lot of these issues they get guidance from give guidance to the CCAO staff. Then they combine what was said send it out and obviously Ben Nutter also serves on that Board and is chairman of a committee. It's not the committee that I set on but obviously they give you bullet point of what our committee decided on and they would like a letter to the conference committee urging them to support the CCAO's stance on these different issues. So. I would urge us to send a letter similar. This letter is about Local Government Funds.
