15.2 Minute mark Had a great conversation last week with Hueston Woods CVB. Jean, Jeff & Jane Lightner attended their board meeting. Joint plans for Preble County Fair & Pork Festival. "We also talked about their involvement in some of the other county wide events and ahm it's obvious that they are really focused on the Park and the Lodge and that is really their priority."
Participating in a May 16 event in Richmond by the Wayne County CVB. A regional tourism conference.

17 Minute mark Request money to hire a person or contracting with someone to provide staffing support.
19 Minute mark Denise on free listings available with Ohio tourism. This sounds like a great idea.
20 Minute mark Discussion on adding a staff person and advertising. Guest Quest and others mentioned.
June 5 – 7 Covered Bridge Conference in Dayton.
24 Minute mark David Wesler asks how many hours a week Jean would like a staff person to work. She mentions two needs – administrative assistance and another developing materials and networking in the community. Fuzzy on need.
25.5 Minute mark Question on printing more guide books $2,800 – $3,000 to print more but Jean can't remember the quantity. Including restaurants would increase cost. I'll add that the current guide book does not have the Apple Fest included in the event section.
David Wesler – Guide book did not have only Preble County businesses (Back cover was a Vandalia business).
Jean Bussell – But that was the only outside the county ad….It's impossible to get everybody…You can't make somebody buy an ad.
David Wesler – Do you have some of these over at the Wayne County CVB?
Jean Bussell – Very interesting question. When I visited with Mary Walker I gave her copies of it and the covered bridge brochure… She said we can't put them on display because we are a state funded agency. This has been a known issue for years. But we will put them behind the counter because we do have people come here because we do have people come here right on the edge of the state of Ohio and ask for things to do over in Ohio.
