There was an executive session held on imminent litigation of a case filed by the Village of Camden on the leachate issue. There is no bigger example of the fraudulent claims of this commission about trying to get jobs and economic development in the county than this issue. This commission has spewed misinformation and nonfactual information in an attempt to justify going against the economic development plans of previous commissions. There was total lack of consultation with Gasper Township officials as to their thoughts on this issue which has negatively impacted the future economic development potential of Preble County. While this was going on the Preble County Chamber sat by in contemptible silence. All the claims by this commission of doing what is in the best interest of Preble County are exposed in what is quite probably the worst scoring system ever put forth on an issue. That scoring system clearly shows the Camden route as having the most “General Overall Benefit to Preble County”. This Preble County Commission should be very thankful that tarring and feathering of politicians has fallen out of favor.
