I received the new budget report from County Auditor Lavon Wright on June 5 but have had trouble accessing my flickr account until this morning. The Auditor’s office has new and needed software. Lavon included this explanation in the email.

Here is the new formatted report that I will be using going forward.  If you have questions or need to address any changes that you are not understanding, please give me a call. 

It is a simpler report, and everything will now be on that one page for the financial numbers.  I will still do a cover sheet for you with the break-down and summary of those amounts. 

When I met to discuss this report with the Commissioners about a week ago,  some questions regarding the “advances” column were brought to my attention.  Please note that I did not pick up all advances in my Amended Budget estimation (that first column), and that is the reason that the Available Balance Column does not reflect the true Advance number of $572,979.60.  (the number in the report reflects $561,629.00) 

I will make sure to include the true advances when I do the Estimated Amended Budget for 2019, and that I include those that have not been paid back, in my estimation.  That was an oversight on my part, and I apologize.  Until then, you may pick the true and accurate numbers in the “ADVANCES” column in yellow to the right. 

Again, if you have questions regarding this report, need help with understanding it, or have some suggestions for it, please reach out to me and I will be happy to spend some time with you to go over those with you.  I am thankful that most of this report is now generated by my new financial system when I import into excel.  I do some alterations to include more information, however, it will take me way less time to compile now.
