57 Minute mark Commissioner Stonecash – Last Thursday I attended the LEPC meeting… Towards the end of it I was requested by an individual to note that we still have an opening on that Board for an At-Large committee member. Chris Day whispering And a she was really demanding in her request.
Commissioner Wesler – Who's she?
Commissioner Stonecash – I'll get to that in a minute. And so I said we would look into it today and that I would make a recommendation for someone to fill that position. This has bothered me ever since.
Commissioner Wesler – Can I ask a question? How many are on the committee already? And didn't we say or wasn't it said to us a while back that that at-large position didn't really really need to be filled? Because they had an adequate amount?
Commissioner Stonecash – And they do. That's true. And I would recommend at this time just exactly what you're saying that we continue to leave that seat unfilled. Jane Marshall is the person that rather firmly stated that she would like to have that seat. And it is my opinion
Commissioner Wesler – whispered ..being listened to
Commissioner Stonecash – that you need to earn that seat by promoting Preble County. I find that many cases she is in the background to I don't want to use the word destroy but she is trying to undermine many efforts that we make to improve Preble County, whether they be statewide or local. In good conscientious I cannot put her name Jane Marshall; I cannot recommend her for that post.
Commissioner Wesler – Well Bob when you say leave that seat open in my estimation I mean I don't care who's applying for it. If we….
Commissioner Stonecash – I had to stay with the statement that I made; That I would bring it to the Board's attention…. the committee is big enough, has some very good people on it and people who have earned that right to be on it and work for Preble County. I think that you have to ahh you have to do it in a positive way. You can't one minute be working on this and the next minute try and undermine other projects.
Commissioner Wesler – Are there other at large members on that? Aren't there another one or two?
Commissioner Stonecash – I'd have to look at the chart but I think probably.
