Public Comments audio was at different audio levels so it has been broken into two files

Commissioner Stonecash – By the way that was what I was reading when I was late.

Commissioner Wesler – reads email from Denise into record.

Text of email:

I am guessing from this that you have been approved for the JRS grant?  Well, it is good to know that our state government is just as delusional as our local government.

Our group, as well as the Farm Bureau, have voiced our opposition to this boondoggle and are still very much opposed to this project as long as there is no private enterprise interested in developing.  We will hold you responsible for this in 2012, both in the elections, and personally, if possible.  I never did hear the answer to the question of by what authority you are putting the county in debt with so much public opposition to this decision.

Our county deserves BETTER representatives, statesmen who are watch dogs over our money and not interested in spending (NOT INVESTING) our money in venture capitalism.  If Goose Creek Crossing is such a great idea, why aren't the three of you investing your own money in it!  It is much easier to spend our money, with no personal risk, right?

You will regret moving forward on this.  Elections are probably hard to win with the albatross of Goose Creek hanging around your neck.  Wesler got lucky.  We weren't up to speed on GCC this last election.  But his hands will be tied when there are 2 freedom loving, true Conservatives blocking his way!

Even if Goose Creek is a roaring success (I would love to see the stats on that possibility, maybe I can ask the people in Brookville), the only thing that benefits are the county coffers.  And what will those be used for?  Bigger government!  Are you sure you are Republicans?

Thanks a lot, Commissioners!  You are truly doing the will of the people!

I have already shared this with the Preble County Liberty Group, your constituents.

Compliance plan mentioned during JFS meeting approved.

46.5 Minute mark   Commissioner Wesler – I just wanted to make one point about her report here. Mercer County's unemployment rate is 5.6% they historically have been about the lowest the last several years. Fifteen years ago ahh they decided to they had the highest unemployment rate in the state. And they decided to get economic development started, they started a revolving loan fund. They made it easier and ahh tried to attract business in and I was up there and visited Larry Steltzer before you guys were in office and once you guys got in office we paid a visit up there to him again. And you could see all the land that they laid out and have ready for development. That is still up there, plus they filled a lot of their industrial parks that are up there or have a lot tenants in those industrial parks and have done very very good ahhm in the past several years and have now come back to the lowest unemployment. So obviously I don't know where they would be unemployment wise if they had just chose to sit on their hands and not do anything. But they chose to get aggressive and do the things they need to help attract and develop more jobs for their community so that's pretty good.

Commissioner Stonecash – Doesn't every community in Mercer County have an industrial park?

Commissioner Wesler – Yeah or most do but it took time Bob. It took time, it didn't happen in one year or two years. They got around and they ahh the thing is that each community helps the other communities. If a job wants to come into one village and it doesn't fit them, they say hey what about this next village. And they do, they work together up there so. Just a point, the lowest unemployment rate practically in this area.

Commissioner Day – It is the lowest. I didn't see a lower one did you?

Further discussion.

49.25 Minute mark   Barb Willis and Commissioners exchange comments on several issues.

58 Minute mark  Commissioner Stonecash – Did you get all that information for that newspaper article?

Commissioner Day – Ahh yeah

Commissioner Stonecash – Ready to go?

Commissioner Day – Just about.  This press release has been mentioned as "almost ready" for weeks. It is supposed to explain the financing for Goose Creek.

Commissioner Wesler – Columbus is the 22nd. Further promotion for Goose Creek.

59 Minute mark   Commissioner Wesler asks for a motion to adjourn then says "just a second, let me make sure".

Commissioner Wesler –  Oh this CVB. Chris did you call Dave Maynard yet from Pleasant Vineyards?

Commissioner Day – No, I've got to do that. What have you got?

Commissioner Wesler – You were just going to call him, I heard.

Commissioner Day – mmmhh (affirmative) I will call him here in a minute. I was wanting to get with Mindy on that but she is not here.

Commissioner Wesler – There is also the Chamber of Commerce putting on a meeting for ahh by the Ohio Attorney General's office November 14 from 1:00 – 3:00 to provide compliance training to all nonprofit organizations. Somebody from the CVB board should be at that.

Commissioner Stonecash – I am trying to get them together Wednesday at 3:00 here. I've confirmed everybody's participation except for Lewisburg. Who's the, Barbara, who's the President of the Camden Chamber of Commerce?

Commissioner Wesler – And we still have an appointment to make since Debbie Souter is going to be the county chamber's, Preble County Chamber of Commerce representative. So we are still asking the CVB board to appoint one person. Who ahh you guys have any other looming names out there that you know that were possibly interested.

Commissioner Stonecash – Their interested in Mark ahh Hueston Woods the ahh the ODNR guy. I them that if they wanted to appoint him after the board was formed that's up to them. Jane Schreyer was also one of their requests and I told them the same thing so. I didn't think it was good that her and Manfred both were on there. They want some legal representation.

Barb Willis – How did your Charity Ball go?

Commissioner Stonecash – Great, we had a full house. We probably raised, do we have an exact figure yet?

Commissioner Wesler – Not exact.

Commissioner Stonecash – Somewhere around $16,000?

Commissioner Wesler – Probably yes.

Further discussion on Ball

1 hr. 2.8 Minute mark  Commissioner Wesler – So do you guys have a thought on who you may want for the one appointment?

Commissioner Stonecash – We let's see we don't have anybody actually from the east side of the county. LOL

Commissioner Wesler – Ahh yeah other than the Lewisburg Chamber

Commissioner Stonecash – Yeah we're going to have a Lewisburg chamber member.

Commissioner Wesler – So is that what you guys could think of?

Commissioner Stonecash – Elizabeth Murphy is a marketing major and pretty aggressive girl that is interested in the county. Just a thought, don't know.

Commissioner Wesler – Where is she from?

Commissioner Stonecash – Here. Lives out on Yost Rd. between here and Gratis. Her husband is Sean.

Commissioner Wesler – Oh I knew that I just didn't know where they lived.

Kim is there anything else that ahh

Kim Keller – I am not aware of anything.
