Preble County, Ohio
Preble County Commissioners
October 17, 2011
Three Commissioners in attendance
This was a fairly uneventful meeting.
There was discussion on the Palmer Energy meeting to be held the next night but that has already been posted.
File 3 has Commissioner Wesler mentioning meetings to promote Goose Creek. The project should be dropped in favor of better areas at the Stateline, Eaton and Camden. My feeling continues to be that any Commissioner that promotes this project needs removed from office.
File 4 had John Bull of NIC in chambers to address the issue with a church in West Alexandria that came up at the October 5 meeting. John offers his thoughts on the issue.
File 5 opens with a commissioner commenting on beautiful ladies.
File 7 had a proposal to raise the dog license fees. If I had to guess I think this one will be turned down but time will tell.

Short discussion on the Black Walnut festival the previous weekend. There were 857 searches for the Black Walnut Festival that came to this site. I was amazed as that number exceeded the numbers for the Pork Festival.

Commissioner Wesler – Connie, I need to double check on these but when I was up to the Farm Science Review, remember Diane Delaplane (Darke County Commissioner) and I got a moment with the Governor and he said; I didn't bring it up he was the one who brought it up about the presentation we gave up in Columbus to his office and himself. He said keep my staff apprised so that is why I called and have a November 22, meeting scheduled…. I believe that meeting is scheduled for 10:00. … update presentation for Dayton Development Coalition on November 15 … tentatively at 1:30… I still have to solidify both of those meetings but believe it will happen.
