File 2 has Chad Hoke accepting the job of Director of Land Use Management job effective April 25.
File 3 has mention of the first bills for Goose Creek coming due on July 1. These are for interest and a onetime fee totaling around $12,000.
If you thought the Executive Sessions for discipline of a county employee were over for a while then we were both wrong. File 8 has a letter read into the record suspending Chris Harper for three days for dishonest statements. Chris was recently named head of the Courthouse maintenance. Commissioner Stonecash made a motion to hire Christopher Harper on May 12, 2010, as a Maintenance worker 3 at $9.85 per hour and a 120 day probationary period. His first day of work was to be May 17, 2010 and the motion to hire passed with a 3 – 0 vote. At the March 28, 2011 (see or listen to File 14) meeting Commissioner Stonecash made a motion that Commissioner Wesler seconded himself to hire Chris Harper for the position on Building Maintenance Supervisor at rate of $13.99 with a six month probationary period. After a pause from Chris Day that motion passed 3 – 0. On the agenda for March 30, 2011, under Correspondence & Reports this appeared: B. Commissioner Wesler – Is there anything else Connie?
Connie – I did receive information from the OWDA on our loans for Goose Creek. I've got two payments that are due July 1, of this year. So I wanted to have a little discussion here, the one is for $4,794.25 a semiannual payment. One is on water, one is on waste water.
Commissioner Day – Is that the interest?
Connie – This is the interest plus onetime fee for OWDA. …. the other is for $7,315.50. When I do this I am going to place language in my transfer resolution indicating that this is going to be an advance to be paid back to the General Fund once we get our construction loan…. next interest payment January.
