271,872 acres of land in Preble County. Of that 230,616 acres are in agriculture or 85%. 41,559 acres are currently in incorporated entities, roads, parks for 15%.

These numbers call into question the very small sum spent on OSU Extension.

Chris mentions unsupported number of 4,500 out of 42,000 being supported by agriculture.

33.85 Minute mark   Commissioner Stonecash – I had a citizen the other night approach me the other night talking about Goose Creek for instance…. set aside dollars every year for the purpose of economic development. I told him that I would bring it up for discussion. The unused portion of the conveyance fee should be going toward that purpose instead of artificially inflating the General Fund.  

Mention of ground that the county owns and selling some of that ground to offset the cost of Goose Creek.
